Today’s topic: Measuring.
Now according to professionals, you should measure carefully, double check your numbers, and make precise cuts.
But according to Hammered Handyman field testing, there are really only two types of measurements:
1️⃣ Exact measurements
2️⃣ “That should be about right.”
If you cut the board and it’s too short, just tell everyone:
“It shrank.”
If it’s too long, simply say:
“I left room for adjustment.”
And if it’s way too wrong…
That’s when we say the magic words:
“Custom fit.”

Just grab the tape measure, squint one eye, and say:
“Seventy-two and four lines.”
