A lot of people think the grinder bit was just chaos and bad decisions.
What most people don’t know is that I’ve always loved special effects. Not the computer kind — the practical kind. Rubber. Latex. Old-school movie magic.
I grew up watching horror films and was fascinated how they made the effects. How a simple scene wasn’t a camera trick, but an artist with patience and weird materials making something look real without actually hurting anyone.
That fascinated me.
Some kids wanted to be astronauts. Some wanted to be pro athletes. I wanted to know how they made the machete look convincing without anyone losing a limb.

So when I mess around with special effects in Hammered Handyman sketches, that’s not random. That’s me sneaking in something I genuinely love.
The exaggerated “injuries.” The moments that are a little too real for the algorithm. The ridiculous fake wounds.
It’s comedy — but it’s also craftsmanship. And honestly, it’s just fun.
