Alright crew,
Sunday on the jobsite…
is where everything is basically done.
Or at least close enough that nobody wants to touch it anymore.
Today’s topic: Finishing Touches.
Now according to professionals, you’re supposed to:
• Take your time at the end
• Fix the small details
• Make it look clean and complete
But according to Hammered Handyman field testing, the real rules are:
1️⃣ Step back… say “that looks good”
2️⃣ Ignore anything that requires effort
3️⃣ Call it finished
Now finishing touches sound small…but they’re usually the difference between:
“that looks great”
and
“what happened there?”
But by Sunday…
Energy is low.
Patience is gone.
And standards start to… shift.
So instead of fixing the little things…
You just stop noticing them.
And if someone points it out?
You hit them with:
“It’s supposed to look like that.”
Which is a bold strategy.
And surprisingly effective.
Remember:
It’s only a small detail…
until it’s the only thing people see.
We’re lowering expectations… one project at a time.
Stay safe out there.
Or at least… committed.

P.S.
If you don’t look too closely…
it’s flawless.
Daily Joke:
I said “that’ll do”…
Now it does that forever.
