Alright crew,
Welcome to Tuesday’s Job Box Safety Meeting.
Today’s topic: PPE.
According to professionals, PPE means Personal Protective Equipment.
But according to Hammered Handyman field testing, PPE usually means Probably Protected Enough.
For example:
Safety glasses? Squinting counts.
Hearing protection? Just say “WHAT?” a lot.
Gloves? Only when the splinters get annoying.

Now the official rule is you should always wear proper safety gear.
But on most jobsites the real system works like this:
You start the job without PPE…
Then after the first close call everyone suddenly says:
“Yeah… maybe grab your safety glasses.”
Remember: Safety rules are written in blood.
And sometimes drywall dust.
We’re lowering expectations… one project at a time.
Stay safe out there.

P.S. If someone yells “HEADS UP!” that technically counts as advanced warning.

I recorded this video a year ago in Windsor, Ontario at The NextStar Battery Plant. Believe it or not, I was a foreman. I recorded this just off the cuff, filmed by another foreman.
